Playing poker for charity is one of those amazing win-win scenarios. AddShoppers is grateful to have once again participated in the annual All-In to Fight Cancer poker tournament. The evening supports a wonderful group of North Carolina charities that raise money for cancer-fighting communities, including care, education, transportation, and financial assistance.
Our AddShoppers local team and founders had the honor of attending the affair. Over 700 people attended the event hosted at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC, and the night was filled with live music, great humans, delicious food, and poker. This was our third consecutive year to sponsor the event with our products SafeOpt and Minty.com.
By the end of the night, the event had successfully raised over $300,000 for local cancer charities, a testament to the generous spirit of all those involved. The winner of the tournament was a cancer survivor herself, which made the victory even more heartfelt and the achieving the elusive win-win-win! The funds raised will be directed to Go Jen Go, The Paula Takacs Foundation, Compass to Care, and Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute. These organizations make significant impacts by helping children and adults fighting cancer to access life-saving treatments and by providing relief from the financial burdens that cancer brings.
